Hello friends check out another episode of the Dark Web Daily Show for Tuesday, June 12 2018.

Tuesday means From the Vault. I pick three items, a CD, a movie and a video game. I’ll pick something each episode to discuss.

Headlines include ABC interupting the Bachelorette for a breaking news cut in. Dennis Rodman in the news for his role in North Korea summitt. MTV bringing back a fan favorite animated series as a live-action show. Also discussed are Looney Tunes making a comeback.

Video game coverage focuses on E3. A new console is hinted at by Microsoft, Nintendo announces big news for the Nintendo Switch.

I cap the episode off with a topic on the news of a Joker spin off movie followed by my thoughts on a the recently revealed Halloween sequel ignoring all the established canon, yet again.

Dark Web Daily- Pilot Monday June 11, 2018

Alright here it is my first attempt at a daily show. This new format is going to be called the Dark Web Daily Show. Think of it as a radio-friendly, broadcast style show. There will be more traditional segments, headlines and it will be more organized. The normal, unfiltered, unscripted show will still be uploaded on weekends.

Today’s episode is a full one. Headlines include: North Korea summitt, NBA Finals, celebrity suicides/mental health topics, DC films updates their schedule, E3 coverage so far and Gamestop selling comic books.

Each episode will containt a movie, music and video game topic plus headlines, social commentary and a few surprises. Ever Monday will be a segment called New Music Monday where I discuss a new band, album, or song I recently discovered. It will mostly be “new to me” but I might dabble in actual new music too.

The rest of the week the music segment will be my recommendations. Each day I will pick a CD, tape or other work from my collection and discuss it.

Today’s New Music topic was Dirty Johny. They are a local band in the Southern Idaho region who opened for rock legend Vince Neil of Motley Crue. I got to photograph him performing Dr. Feelgood Saturday night live in concert.

The Dark Web Podcast Episode 27- Conspiracy theories!, plus E3 thoughts, predictions, and the digital future?

Every once in a while I will be making a case against something and midway through my argument realize I was changing my mind. I do this in this weeks episode. I tackled the all digital future of video games. I compared it to the all streaming/broadcasting model of Television and rag on the telecom companies being blamed for lack of high speed internet.

I tackle a few conspiracy theories just for fun. First up, is Michelle Obama really a man? Did 2Pac fake is death or was he murdered by his peers and they covered it up?

Aliens, 9/11, the moon, Mars, dinos vs. dragons and the hot topic of spiritual forces/supernatural powers.

THIS WEEK SOMETHING NEW! I am switching to a 1 hour a day five day a week format with a 2 hour episode on Saturdays.

The format will be more like a traditional radio show. The 5 day weekday shows will be a normal format and then the Saturday shows will continue to be the unscripted, unfiltered format you’ve all come to enjoy. I am hoping this new format will inspire more creativity.

Roseanne Rant- Dark Web Podcast Bonus Episode

I decided I was so sick over this Roseanne situation I had to clear the air. This is a special bonus rant-filled episode where I dig a little deeper into the politics of what happened and why it bothers me.

I get a little into political ideologies again and end with a discussion onf YouTube content. I critique Nostalgia Critic, Anry Video Game Nerd, PewDiePie, and THE RAT (that’s me in case you were wondering.) And Yes I dish it out on others and my self. I discuss my music career, how I started as a party DJ turned record producer before settling on podcaster/writer.

Later in the episode I interview Coral Chambers, an actress, writer and former radio DJ with some interesting stories. We discuss the future of digital news as well as get into is 80’s music oldies or classic rock?

Political discussion now fair game on Dark Web podcast

I tried to keep politics out of the podcast. Not because I can’t defend my point of view, because I certainly can. Not because as a journalist I felt the need to keep my political views to my self. To be fair journalists can have political opinions, we’re just supposed to be unbiased in our reporting.

This week something took place that twisted my arm. The last several episodes I have been making it a point to discuss the new Roseanne reboot, or Roseanne Season 10 as it has been called. Then out of the blue the show was cancelled. The reason for the cancellation was because of a personal Tweet that was labeled as racist.

I tried not to get into the political side of it and then, I broke into another political tirade as a result. This wasn’t the first time I broke my rule because of something relating to Twitter. And so I went full in. I revealed many of my personal political views. During my angry rant I realized there just isn’t any way to do a show like this without getting into politics at some point.

By the end of the episode I settled into a rant about the origins of native English words currently considered to be vulgar by modern standards.

As a matter of reality I knew this was going to take place sooner rather than later. I mean, as someone who studied political science in college and has spent the last 3 years working in the news media, it was inevitable my show would deteriorate into political ranting. All I can say is if there really was some grand conspiracy to silence conservative voices, how the hell is Rush Limbaugh still on the air?

The Dark web Podcast 24- Talking Game Boy Classic Mini possibility, Star Wars vs Star Trek toys, and Resident Evil coming to Switch

In this episode I get down and dirty with Star Wars versus Star Trek, mostly focused on toys and video games. I contemplate the possibility of Nintendo doing a Game Boy Classic mini, go through the N64 list to see what games could be done for an N64 Classic and then I bitch about Capcom’s Resident Evil Cloud announcement.

The Dark Web Podcast episode 22- Special guest MMA fighter/trainer Jackpot James, discussing the 90’s grunge movement and more

This week features another special guest. Jackpot James Hof is an MMA fighter based in Jackpot, Nevada with ties to Las Vegas. We talk about what it’s like going into a fight with a total stranger. Then we take a trip down memory lane talking about what it was like going to high school in Jackpot. James was one of my classmates in high schoo, it was a lot of fun remeniscing.

The remainder of the podcast is spent ripping apart the 90’s grunge rock movement with an especially harsh criticsm of Stone Temple Pilots. I then dig into the topic of all topics, was the East Coast vs. West Coast gangsta rap war of the 90’s responsible for getting President Obama elected in 2008?

On the video game front I list my favorite Nintendo consoles, following a rant on the too soon false elevation of the Wii U’s status beyond the failed console it was. Then I get into the details of the Legion Quest storyline in the X-Men saga that lead to the Age of Apolcalype.

I talk about the process of recovering my digital games from Steam, GoG.com, Origin and Guild Wars. I also talk about trying to re-watch The Lord of the Rings and what my main issue is with the film.
